Archiving Policy

International Journal of Global Information Systems (GlobeIS Journal) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published content.

Digital Preservation

• The journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed dark archive operated by the Public Knowledge Project at Simon Fraser University. All published issues are deposited automatically and preserved across the network's geographically distributed nodes.
• The journal's preservation status is registered with The Keepers Registry (ISSN International Centre), which records GlobeIS Journal content as preserved by the PKP PN.
• In the event the journal ceases publication, preserved content will remain recoverable and accessible through the PKP PN.
• The journal publishes LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Publisher Manifest pages, allowing participating libraries and archives to preserve its content independently.
• All published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) registered with Crossref (prefix 10.66395), ensuring persistent linking, discoverability, and citation stability.
• Published content is stored on secure servers with automated scheduled backups, supplemented by manually retained offline copies of the full site and database.

Repository Policy

• Pre-prints are not accepted or published.
• Only the final, peer-reviewed version (Version of Record) is published online once accepted.
• Authors are permitted to deposit the final published version of their article in:
  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject-based repositories
  • Personal or academic websites
• Deposits must include a proper citation to the published version in GlobeIS Journal.

Indexing & Accessibility

• All articles are made immediately open access on the journal's official website upon publication.
• Published content is registered with Crossref and indexed by Google Scholar.
